2024 Hyundai Santa Fe: Price, Colors, Trims

Although SUVs are very popular with the public nowadays, it wasn’t always like that. A few decades ago, hatchbacks and sedans dominated the automotive industry, while there were only a handful of successful SUVs. One of those was the Hyundai Santa Fe, which was launched in 2000 as a compact crossover and immediately won the public over with its comfort and quality. Fast-forward to the present day, and we’re about to witness the launch of Santa Fe’s fifth generation.

The 2024 Santa Fe will probably be released in the U.S. in early 2024 and promises to be more comfortable, well-designed, and technologically impressive than ever. Unlike the current generation, the new Santa Fe will feature three rows of seats, providing excellent space and flexibility for both passengers and cargo.

A Complete Exterior Redesign

The first thing you’re likely to notice about the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is its radical exterior redesign. Although the current Santa Fe generation is a very eye-catching vehicle, the new look pushes design boundaries even further. A symbol of the Santa Fe’s versatility and all-round excellence, its exterior design is both rugged and elegant, making it a good fit for every occasion. It’s also significantly bigger, as its 190.2-inch length and 110.8-inch wheelbase provide more interior space and comfort than before for passengers of all sizes.

There will also be plenty of ways in which you can personalize your 2024 Santa Fe. Hyundai will provide 11 color options, including Serenity White Pearl, Phantom Black, Curated Silver Metallic, Ultimate Red Metallic, and Rockwood Green Pearl. Stylish H-shaped headlights and taillights complete the 2024 Santa Fe’s exterior look.

Comfortable and Classy Interior

The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe’s redesigned interior rivals any luxury SUV on the market. Its design, comfort level, and tech perfectly blend style and convenience without making any compromise on either. The spaceship-like dashboard includes twin 12.3-inch screens: the gauge cluster that can be configured to display relevant information and the touch-screen interface. A 6.6-inch touch panel for the audio system and air conditioning completes the dashboard’s futuristic look. Despite the abundance of interactive screens, there are also some physical knobs available, helping you access essential controls while driving without taking your eyes off the road.

All three rows of seats are as comfortable as you’d expect from a quality SUV. Unlike many three-row SUVs that only feature a third row of seats large enough for children, the 2024 Santa Fe’s third row provides 30 inches of legroom, meaning it can easily accommodate fully grown adults. There will be five available interior colors: green, gray, brown, and two nuances of black. The H shape will also be present throughout the interior, more notably on the dashboard and air vents.

Powerful and Capable Engines

Although the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe won’t feature any new powertrain, its standard engine was only available as an option for the 2023 version, The turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine can produce up to 277 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, which is more than adequate for the large 2024 Santa Fe. This power and torque are transmitted down to the wheels with the help of an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive will be standard, with all-wheel drive being available as an option.

If you want to use as little fuel as possible, you can opt for the hybrid powertrain. This pairs an electric motor with a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and produces 226 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. It uses a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

Cutting-Edge Technology

As you would expect from a modern vehicle, the 2024 Santa Fe will include multiple tech features. First of all, it joins the current trend of integrating vehicle cabins with smartphones. Two wireless charging pads are available within the center console and are accessible from both the first and second rows. They come with a fan underneath to keep the phones cool while recharging. Hyundai’s multimedia system also includes wireless smartphone connectivity through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

There are also other tech innovations that aim to help you and your passengers in various situations. The digital rearview mirror allows the driver to see what’s happening behind the Santa Fe with the help of a camera system, even when the cargo area is full. Another special feature is a tray inside the glove compartment with a UV sanitizer that allows everyone inside to disinfect any small item with the help of ultraviolet light.

Excellent Active Safety Systems

The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe also comes with multiple driver-assistance technology features designed to help you avoid any unpleasant road situations. The Highway Driving Assist feature combines multiple active safety technologies and the navigation system’s maps to allow you a semi-autonomous driving experience on certain highways. This means that you can safely let the Santa Fe drive on its own as long as you’re always prepared to take control if it encounters a situation beyond its level of understanding.

Updated versions of classic driver-aids will also be present. The forward collision warning system will use the windshield-mounted camera to warn you of an incoming frontal collision and even automatically hit the brakes to avoid or mitigate it. The lane-centering assistance feature will make minor steering corrections to keep the Santa Fe in the center of its lane. Blind-spot and rear cross-traffic warning systems will alert you if another car enters the Santa Fe’s blind spot or crosses from either side while backing up.
