Hyundai Models and Their Entertainment Features

The blend of entertainment and modern information technology systems used in vehicles today evolved from the Motorola radios of the 1950s. These radios were cassette players in the ’70s and started shifting to CD players in the ’80s and ’90s. Navigation, as a remote mapping tool, made it into vehicles in the late ’80s, but by the ’90s, vehicle diagnostics had quickly appeared. The smartphone boom led to in-vehicle connectivity in 2005, which completely changed what a car’s entertainment looks like today.

Today, the ability to access web applications, stream your favorite music, or even purchase fuel and food birthed the term “infotainment.” Hyundai is among those making great strides using new technologies for entertainment. Here we’ll explore the various entertainment features in Hyundai’s most popular vehicles.

Hyundai Venue

You’ll find pure entertainment with a six-speaker system in the Venue. As for infotainment, that’s found at a touch screen. Hyundai relies on an 8-inch monitor in the Venue. This touch screen runs all your tech and includes AM, FM, and HD radio. You also get a trial version of SiriusXM Radio and a built-in navigation system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto lets you sync your smartphones to your touch screen. You can access your favorite apps, make calls, stream your favorite music, and work hands-free with intuitive voice commands.

Hyundai offers Blue Link connected car services, which is an app you download to your smartphone. With Blue Link, you can lock, unlock, or start your Venue from anywhere. You can set climate control, activate heated seats, and start the defroster on icy mornings. Blue Link features two-driver presets to get your comfort zone perfect.

Hyundai Kona

The audio system in the Infinity Kona has Clari-Fi music restoration technology, five speakers, two tweeters, and a subwoofer to deliver a theater-quality experience. The touch screen is 7 inches with SiriusXM, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, and Blue Link. You get three USB data inputs, auxiliary input, and charging jacks plus a wireless charging pad for your smartphones.

Hyundai Tuscon

The Tuscon also uses an Infinity audio system with Clari-Fi in it. The lower trims feature a 7-inch touch screen while the Ultimate trim uses an 8-inch one. With all the same add-ons, you’ll stay connected and entertained. Steering wheel-mounted controls let you manually operate your entertainment system and Bluetooth technology for hands-free operation. The Tuscon has a USB port in the rear console. Here’s a closer look at the 2022 Hyundai Tucson interior redesign.

Hyundai Santa Fe

The Sante Fe’s audio system is made by Harman Kardon. It has Clari-Fi and Quantum Logic technology with Bluetooth and steering wheel-mounted controls. An 8-inch touch screen is standard on the lower trims, while a 10.25-inch monitor comes with the top trims. You get infotainment applications like Apple CarPlay with two USB ports in both the front and rear. Here’s a look at the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Hyundai Palisade

Hyundai’s premium SUV, the Palisade, has a 630-watt system with QuantumLogic Surround Sound, Clari-Fi technology, and 12 speakers. Hyundai includes an in-car intercom that drivers can use to talk to second and third-row passengers. The driver’s voice broadcasts through the speaker system and any headphones in use. A quiet mode allows you to cut the audio to the rear cabin so passengers can rest.

The Palisade’s infotainment operates from an 8-inch screen in lower trims and a 10.25-inch touch screen on upper trims. You get all the same add-ons, plus the wireless charger and seven USB ports — three in the front, two for the second row, and two in the third row.

Hyundai Accent

Four speakers come standard in the Accent, but you can opt for a six-speaker upgrade. This system comes with AM, FM, SiriusXM radio, CD/MP3 capability, and a 5-inch touch screen. A 7-inch screen is standard on the upper models. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth let you operate your smartphones hands-free. Input jacks for USB and MP3 players are standard.

Hyundai Sonata

The Sonata features 12 Bose speakers. Its touch screen includes HD radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Blue Link connectivity, or you can upgrade to the 10.25-inch touch screen with SiriusXM and a navigation system with traffic flow and incident data. You also get two simultaneous device connections. A wireless charging pad and multiple USB ports come standard as well.
