For a compact SUV, the Kona goes big with a stylish exterior and a suite of technology to rival any vehicle. This versatile crossover features a bold front fascia, a wide stance on 19-inch alloy wheels, and chiseled sides that give it an athletic profile. In addition, available all-wheel drive and the latest driver-assist suite deliver unmatched capability in its segment.

The Kona N starts at $34,200. Hyundai uses a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine with dual overhead cams, 16 valves with variable valve timing, and gasoline direct injection technology. Hyundai pairs this engine with their eight-speed wet dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters and drive mode select technology. As a result, this compact SUV pumps out an impressive 276 horsepower and 289 pound-feet of torque.

Hyundai adds N Corner Carving, an electronic limited-slip differential that distributes power to the outside wheels while cornering. As a result, the Kona N achieves maximum turning speed and traction and also reduces understeer. You also get the N-Tuned electronically controlled suspension that continuously adjusts dampening to compensate for road conditions, speed, and your driving characteristics to deliver a thrilling driving experience. Plus, the high-flow active sport exhaust system pops, and you can tune the sound to match your mood.

This capable powertrain delivers excellent fuel economy, coming in at 29/35/32 mpg city/highway/combined EPA estimates on the front-wheel-drive model. However, you see a slight dip to 27/32/29 mpg on the all-wheel-drive Kona N Line. In addition, the turbocharged N Line goes from zero to 60 mph in only 5.5 seconds and boasts a top speed of 149 mph. That’s pretty impressive for an SUV.

Hyundai created a balanced, high-performance sedan that conquers the track and your everyday commute with style. The track-ready Elantra N starts at $31,900. It features a powerful engine, a sport-tuned suspension, and a customizable drive mode and exhaust system for an exhilarating driving experience.

The Elantra N comes with an aggressive front fascia, a chiseled side body, and signature 19-inch N alloy wheels. A reinforced chassis provides more rigidity for increased stability. In addition, Hyundai’s electronic limited-slip differential, launch control, and N Corner Carving systems deliver exceptional performance when cornering and accelerating. You also get signature exterior N badging and red accents.

You get Hyundai’s turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine that puts out an impressive 276 horsepower and 289 pound-feet of torque. In addition, you have your choice of transmissions. You can opt for the six-speed manual transmission to feel every thrill as the horsepower surges through the gear shifter. Alternatively, you can choose the N eight-speed wet dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters.

All that horsepower requires some serious stopping power. That’s why Hyundai uses class-exclusive 14.2-inch ventilated brake rotors with high-friction brake pads. These larger rotors and performance pads maximize heat endurance and provide more stopping power.

The six-speed manual powertrain gets an EPA-estimated 22/31/25 mpg city/highway/combined. These estimates drop slightly to 20/30/23 mpg on the wet dual-clutch powertrain. Hyundai’s Elantra N is fast, clocking a zero to 60 mph time of 5.0 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph.

2022 Hyundai Veloster N

If you love to drive, Hyundai’s Veloster N will thrill you in every way. You get the sharp style of Hyundai’s first N series of high-performance cars in the United States plus the customizable power of Hyundai’s motorsport competition engineering.

An angular front fascia and bulging hood deliver a fierce look. The Veloster N’s wheel wells flare above standard 19-inch N alloy wheels, and the hatchback features a rear spoiler designed for performance and style. Inside the Veloster N, you are cradled in the ergonomic comfort of sport bucket seats with bolstered side support.

Under the hood, you’ll find a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine with dual overhead cams and 16 valves with electronically controlled continuously variable valve timing technology. This gasoline direct injection system pairs with your choice of a six-speed manual transmission or Hyundai’s N eight-speed automatic wet dual-clutch transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. No matter which transmission you choose, you’ll benefit from the 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque.

The customizable drive modes tune your engine, rev-matching, chassis, exhaust, suspension, steering, and stability control systems to match your skill level and conditions. Choose Normal mode for your everyday driving. Then, select Sport mode when you want to dial up performance tuning. Finally, in Sport+ mode, you get track-tuned driving dynamics for the ultimate performance driving experience.

Hyundai’s Veloster N travels from zero to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds and achieves a top speed of 149 mph. The six-speed manual powertrain gets you an EPA-estimated 22/28/25 mpg, while the wet dual-clutch powertrain drops to 20/27/22 mpg.

Driver-Assist Systems

Every Hyundai N model comes standard with Hyundai SmartSense, a suite of driver-assist technologies designed to optimize safe driving. This suite includes forward collision avoidance assist, blind-spot collision warning, rear cross-traffic collision warning, lane following assist, and lane-keeping assist systems. These systems use radar and cameras to monitor your vehicle’s surroundings, alerting you to potential hazards. In some instances, these systems provide additional brake support and steering correction to help you avoid a possible accident.

At Huffines Hyundai Plano, we know what performance drivers want. That’s why we stock an expansive inventory of N models, from the versatile Kona N to the powerful Elantra N and the ultra-stylish fast-hatch Veloster N.
